    Hello Friends

Just confused whether to take Singular for or a domain or Plural?

    Word+ Guide.com or word+guides.com

    Can someone please advise me.

Whenever I found a dilemma registering a domain name with a slight plural or singular variation, I register both and redirect one to the other with higher search engine results

In my opinion it doesn't really make much of a difference. And I'm not sure if those are the domain your friend wants to register but their already taken. And like what Mystique said you can just buy both then you don't have to worry about it ;)

I would personally choose plural, especially if you plan on having more than 1 guide ;) If you have money to dispose of then I suppose buying both of them as stated above wouldn't hurt.

It was mixed opinion. I registered both for the heck of it but using singular if someone is curious..

    Thanks Guys

I would look at Google Keyword Tool to see which get more searches on it and if that doesn't help then I'd pick whichever rolls off the tongue easier (it'll likely be easier for people to remember).

I completely agree. Check which one drives more traffic with google keyword tool...

If you have the opportunity to buy both singular and plural, do it and redirect one to another like someone said before.

Bad advice. Always go for both & re-direct the one url to the other. You could set up your singular domain site, work hard for years & then sooner or later someone comes along with the plural domain of your site & then takes a chunk away of all your hard work. Please read a case in example.

    Good decision!

It depends what you want to do with your domain. In case of selling business. Plural is better. But in above case singular is much better than plural one.

It is better you use the google keyword tool and then make a decision

Some names are better as singular and others plural. There are no rules that apply all of the time

I have an available name blog and I addressed this on one of my posts

For something like that, the Singular is 100x better.

I suppose that would be better for you to have both of them. That will not cost you a fortune to register additional domain name.
