Huge list of Web 2.0 properties/hubs for LinkWheels and authoritative backlinks!

Create profiles on these properties to increase both your natural traffic and SERPs.

You can use these to create huge linkwheels, although I would not recommend interlinking them. At present, I think the backlinks are just as effective coming from each individual property.

If you're not bothered about the natural traffic, and only interested in the backlink juice, then use an article spinner and spin a few PLR articles. Publish them to each profile with a link back to your site, and ping the properties. You should see a decent increase in SERPs with these backlinks.

Do you create backlinks to each profile you create?

Miguel you create a profile and put your URL in there ;), when it gets crawled, you get indexed, but make sure that you vary the links you don't want them all pointing DIRECTLY to your site, it would look to obvious to Google that it's a link wheel.

There are several ways to get the profiles indexed. As you said, you can build backlinks to each profile, but if you plan on creating a lot of profiles then this would cause more work than it's probably worth.

You could mass ping each URL regularly, as well as submit RSS feeds to directories. You could use Yahoo Pipes or similar software to combine each feed into a single feed, and concentrate on submitting this - that would save some time.

My final suggestion would be to submit your property articles to Digg, this is a pretty reliable way of getting them indexed and build backlinks to them.

These are very commonly used sites for link wheels, and because of the abuse, they have been somewhat discounted. I wouldn't particularly use them in the normal sense of a link wheel, but perhaps for filler to protect my main site from any risks caused by heavy linking.

Try to make 10% to 20% or so of your links not highly optimized. Use a different URL, different keyword, etc.

Nice list, thanks, but does it bother anyone that most of the links on these properties are nofollowed? I mean, we are talking about link juice, right? So where will it come from?

I admit I have not explored link wheels enough, though they do interest me. Haven't they been recently devalued? I have read that they used to work much better than they do now because big G has figured them out. What do you gurus say about this?

Thank you for the list of web 2.0 properties. You mentioned that after creating the link wheel, one should ping the properties. Can you please elaborate on this?
    Thanks dear.
