Well there are few people who use PayPal in India in their day to day life and those pople are who work on internet for their livings. I am sure no media use PayPal to receive their funds. Even HDFC bank manager didn't know about PayPal when I asked them about my withdraw and he stood blank in front of me.

Govt officials, finance minister and RBI knowing the quantum of the PayPal money also can be a problem :) Those who are not paying taxes will be now put onto their radar... Some of those bloggers earning 5K and 10K USDs per month may not be paying taxes.

Its not true, The Hindu Covered this news in quite detail today,

as well, if the media is busy in stupid bollywood news than the reason are us, they will show only what raise their TRP, so if we switch to a mature audience than they will be forced to switch too

    Just a thought !!

Perfect thread for my reply! :D

Indian media like INDIA TV is always showing rubbish, like it was showing before 30 mins,

"SANI KI PUJA LIVE AND DHAN KI BARIS". LOL!

I dont understand, howcome they show such cheap act with such words and that too in the name of God.

Who needs their DHAN KI BARIS! LMAO!

I think, India still lacks a media company, who is technically more advanced and sound and has got view of the things happening all over the world.

Infomedia18 has got the potential, I know. Lets see, when they become the No.1 in India.

I absolutely agree with the OP.
Indian Media has other "COMMERCIALIZED" news to show or publish.
I was really unhappy about the delay in news being published in Indian news sites about the paypal conundrum.
I understand paypal is not an Indian Company however when thousands of Indians are facing some problem I would expect an Indian News agency to cut the first turf by publishing the news (a real NEWS indeed!).
Initially the news was published in msnbc, AFP etc. After AFP published the news, the news spread like a virus....
PTI (Press Trust of India) was late by a day or two if I am not wrong.

So what is stopping IT dept from catching them.. paypal deposits the money directly in bank.. so they can easily track it.

I just hope they can reach an agreement very soon that will re-enable Paypal again in India. A lot of freelancers are working in the wee hours to bring food to their tables.
