Does 1.08% bounce rate Sucks or Rocks?

I have a site...and i have installed google analytics and the bounce rate it shows is 1.08% ...sometimes ... 0.85% ..

so i wanted to know whether it is good or bad....u can assume traffic..to be 1000 to 2000 visits a day, around 12,000 pageviews, 00:04:16 Avg. Time on Site, 6.19 Pages/Visit , 61.39%New Visits

and if u can add...do add some tips on how to gain some more traffic

 

If this is really about one percent bounce it's merely WOW.
The more the bounce rate is the worse, for it measures the percentage of distracted uninterested visitors.

I don't think google is entirely accurate on the bounce rate. Do you have the code on all pages???

 

Although that is very good as it means people are staying on your site after they visit the first page, a higher bounce rate is not always very bad. For instance someone could come to one of your main content pages, read it, then click on an add. That would increase the bounce rate since they left your website after only visiting one page, but it would be beneficial to you.

 

Yes i have installed it in all pages....and google analytics shows correct info about the visits....etc....but still i was wondering abt bounce rate....is it possible to get 1% bounce rate?

lol. i wish I had that bounce rate =| mine is 80% !!!

 

man what ever you doing just tripple that effort never seen that low of bounce. lowest i have gotten down to is 15%. wonder what your conversion rates are as well nice job if thats true.

 

I also have very low bounce rates on my site (3-5%), congratulations on not listening to the people who tell you it can't be done.

I would advise you to review your exit % for your top pages, Google knows the difference between a bounce, click thru, and exit. So ALL of these things are people leaving a page. In the Content / Top Content report you can see the exit % for your pages... if it's 30% (for example) you should review how good your visitor retention is as these are basically bounces too. The only difference between a bounce and an exit is a few seconds... both ultimatley leave your site.

 

Average bounce rate to shoot for is round 20 - 40% depending on your niche. If you have a 1% rate then you should go work for Google as you are a genius my friend!!

It's very achievable, but a lot of people just accept the bounce rate they're getting. I'd say you can drop 10% off your bounce rate without a huge amount of work.
