    The pictures are great. Unfortunately the site design reminds me of the first website I made in 1994 using Netscape navigator's built-in tools. I would stay away from generic serif fonts, unless you're a typography or text-heavy website (and even then... I'm not sure about serif).

    I think 90% of the wordy stuff doesn't need to be there (unless you're just using it as a placeholder until you implement the features). It's like if this forum had a bunch of text on the top that said, "You can click on various forum topics and reply to messages in the boxes. Type into the box and click Post Thread." Well, all of that is self-explanatory. I think it's the same on your site. Make everything you mentioned self-explanatory by showing the buttons, the daily navigation (think daily comic strips), and promotions, etc. You don't really need to say it, if it's already there.

    Once you have more content, you'll want a way to organize the content better so the visitors can find it. Maybe the best pictures or top 10 most popular. You will come up with ideas later. Visit a bunch of comedy related sites such as comic strips and other popular funny photo sites. You'll get a better idea of what elements you can add to make it look better. Anyways great job on the site.

    It looks good for a start. I looked at the density for funny baby pictures out of curiosity and was surprised at the overkill in that.
