Anyone else got the email alert after withdrawal (Indian Paypal Users) ??

Washington, Feb 7 (PTI) Online payment service provider Paypal on Saturday said that it has suspended certain types of payment transaction in India.

In a blog posted on its website, PayPal spokesperson Anuj Nayar wrote "... personal payments to and from India and transfers to local banks in India have been suspended while we work with our business partners and other stakeholders to address questions they have about the service".

Without giving any further details for the unusual suspension, he added that the company is working "to resolve the situation as quickly as possible."

"During this time, customers can still make commercial payments to India but merchants cannot withdraw funds in rupees to local Indian banks," he said.

I know this very well and even my money withdrawal is also been cancelled and money is reversed facing a loss of $21

 

Thats true.. we all lst a lot of money just because of their stupid technical fault...

 

How and against whom..if paypal isnt a registered company in india i doubt we can do anything otherwise a PIL can be filed for sure

I Agree as well, its a shame how people take things for granted, and further have to face its consequences, like we all are facing at the moment, because others abused it. Money they tried saving with "Personal payment"s, they are now paying back with huge business downtime + high paypal reversal fee.
Nothing is "FREE" in life, enough said!

currency rates are changing every day.

They have credited back your money.

They have issues with RBI, will be solve in 3-5 days. Then it will allow us to withdraw.

so tell me where paypal in fault?

(currency problems are always in paypal, we have accepted their TOS.

I have not withdrawn in this situation. This was done in last week of Jan when things are not so familiar ...

I already reported why not everybody reported that kind of thread. Please make the forum clean

 

I cant called it is scam, but they have problems with RBI. Because same problems last year between Feb 18 to Feb 25 2009. But then all things are normal and people have keep using Paypal.

 

Agreed with you , paypal introduced personal payment options to really help for personal payments , but deep inside we all know - how much it was abused. 50% of payments were marked personal to save some % and in end paypal has to stop it. the way it was done is wrong ; but the reason for this is our own created .
