I have been ranking on first page for a competitive keyword. It has been a month since i got to Google first page.Two days ago,i find now am in third page. What are the likely causes of this?
You cocked up somewhere along the way - how is anybody supposed to be able to help you when you furnish no details.
Well u hve done somthing wrong with ur website, maybe posted some bad directory or anything like that.
This might be a lack of links coming into the site, keep link building. Or you might have used black hat seo techniques.
There's two simple explanations for what might have happened: You had a high ranking backlink that got changed to no-follow or was removed. You got flagged as black hat by google and they stomped on your page rank.
Interesting take on the backlinks. And I agree with the others, I read that using questionable tactics can make google do a +20 spot change.
if u changed your content or mata tags that time this type of result make down otherwise google caffeine update is running that's why u facing this prob
it usually happens .... Secondly - oncce just go through ypur on page optimazation including all tags....hope it works.
I guess you have done something wrong in optimizing your site or it may cause of a google dance because Google dance may occur in such a certain time wherein all those sites in the 1st page are tend to go down in their rank while those in the lowest rank are been placed in the 1st or 2nd page.Don't worry if its a cause of a google dance, it's effect is just temporary.
