Hi All, I have a PayPal question. After the visitor clicks the PayPal 'Buy Now' button, I would like the first page to come up to be the one where he will enter his credit card info. It's that 2 column layout where the left column is for credit card info and right column is for him to log in to PayPal (if he chooses to). Currently, the visitor requires an additional step to get to this page. The first page that loads only asks to log into PayPal. The is a link that reads "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card..." I am fairly certain this can be done. Though not a button, the PayPal email that I receive from my host defaults to that 2 column credit card info collection page. Anyone know? Thanks. Dave
I saw an official reply by the PayPal team some time ago stating that this cannot be controlled by the merchant: it's something they do based on the cookies present on the user's computer (and the merchant's history, quite possibly).
Oh, interesting. Thanks for the quick reply. When you say 'some time ago,' what time frame are you referring to?
Just found it: http://www.pdncommunity.com/pdn/board/message?board.id=basicpayments&thread.id=43130 And another similar question: http://www.pdncommunity.com/pdn/board/message?board.id=basicpayments&thread.id=22890 I had that same doubt several months ago
I agree, it would be great if that was available though, to be controlled by the merchant. It bothers me as well.
If the user have logged to paypal before then credit card option doesn't not show on 1st page. It is based on cookies present in user's browser. BTW i also want this feature to be controlled by me.
