What was the most annoying computer virus that you had to deal with?

Mines was a program that called itself SystemTools. It kept on giving out fake viruses, spam and messages and restarted my computer every two minutes.

I hate keyloggers and trojans. Especially trojans. I frequently get trojans on my computer, and they're extremely irritating.

I had this one at a mechanic shop, the would not let me format the computer. It took hours, but finally combofix got rid of it. I charged the hell out of them.

I had one of the most terrible times when I was affected by svchost.exe virus. God, it sucked out 100% of memory everytime and had to format my PC eventually.

I had a virus which would reboot my machine every time I started downloading something. It was really really annoying. I had to format & reinstall the OS to get rid of the virus.

The one that makes you PC restart in a minute or two that was the most annoying. Oh and there was that would start a DOS program that would take 99% of my CPU, that was also a bad one. Plus he was stored in most of my directories and USB drives and I couldn't find a way to delete it because he was stored in system32 folder. Full reinstall did the job, I guess :)

I don't know the name of the virus but it was really bad. It was some type of spyware virus that corrupted my daughter's computer. I spent probably 12 hours on the phone with Dell (her computer wasn't even a year old and It wasn't a cheap laptop) and it was so bad that they couldn't even figure it out. Eventually, we had to wipe out the whole hard drive etc. They had to send a dell tech to my house. It was really bad. I learned a hard lesson. Never let your anti-virus software expire. I think the hackers target kids sites. :-( Don't people have anything better to do with their time than to make others miserable

Wow... I leave the forum for a while and look what happens. :)

I remember being infected by good old ErrorSafe. I recieved trojans and hundreds of spam to the 10th power, literally.
It makes me wonder why people want to make viruses, worms, trojans, and such in the first place. Do they want to spread their anger through the internet or something? It's not right and violates peoples' personal property.
