Hello, I have old sites (2+ years old) and new websites (1 year old). What is the good SEO strategy to get indexed on these sites? What I learned from this forum is to write articles and submit them to social bookmarking sites. How often do I need to submit them to social bookmarking sites for new sites/old sites? Thanks a lot. Have a nice day!
I just started on the development of a domain that is over 2 years old and just by the link in my footer here it has already gotten indexed and jumped to the first page for "American travel blog". For some reason it also has a PR 2
Well, social bookmarking is a good way to index your site but it does not end there so that you can have a good SEO for your site. You can do a lot of link building strategies like: 1. forum posting 2. blog commenting 3. article submission I heard a lot of saying that if you do social bookmarking, it must be only 20 percent of your site content. I still don't know how they come up with that conclusion.
Try the link exchange forum on digital point. Great way to boost your rank, especially if you deal in blogrolls.
Social bookmarking is probably the easiest and quickest way to get your site indexed. Also, if you have an RSS feed you can submit that to a few RSS Readers and that can help you get indexed as well.

Search engine optimization is the process to get rank at major search engine(i.e. google, yahoo and bing). If your website is old and you are doing more ethical optimization work then there is no problem. your old website would be more relevant to optimization work. If you would like to do more work then you can get good ranking with more ethical and relevant work. there would be less chances to be penalize is you do more work.
