    Hello friend's
Google spider does not follow links on the PDF and DOC files and also on the "no follow" attribute. It also does not give preferences to flashes and images.

Any link other than the web links, I guess google does not count. PDF and Doc files are absolutely not counted. Check the google help section or the google blog, its mentioned there too.

Why all the trouble when you can surely add image plus text links to your website? Even if the Google does count such links, they are still like the Flash made pages which are recommended to be replaced with better HTML made ones.

Where are you people getting this information about Google not following links in PDFs? This is not true - Google is able to index and follow links inside PDF documents.

Google doesn't count them in any way.

Well if they do, maybe only PDF's.

    I'm sorry if i'm wrong.

A WebmasterWorld thread says that Google has counted links from within Microsoft Word Documents, as links to a page.

Google can see text on flash. Text on doc can be seen by Google. I thinks dpf, too. Google can read them.

For those who says Google doesnt count DOC or PDF links, this is a question to you. Why do you think in this way?

because it is not easy to find out if this document has good content or just spam.

so if it was so, it would be very easy to get a lot of links.
Just make hundreds of docs with your link.

im damn new here and I' doing some research into this topic. And I'd like to know whats the final opinion?

    Here's a little about what I found.
I used link diagnosis to review a competitor while doing link building. During my search through the links I ran into a crazy link inside a pdf, I follow the link and bam it takes me to the site but the article the pdf linked to was gone. 404. as link diagnosis states which is follow or not, I'm nearly all sure it was follow if my memory serves me correctly. But I'm not sure if they are the no follow kings.

So now I need to know are they or aren't they follows?

I would assume yahoo will follow as they aren't fussy but the others hmmmmm....

You can check by put a link in a pdf then publish it on scribd or other websites which Google could crawl. You will see result. I bet Google can understand link in your doc or pdf.
