Where did you hear about that? I really wanna sign up to YPN, and was getting annoyed that they weren't releasing it to the major countries, such as Canada and the UK.

They will someday when YPN is out of beta. It would be stupid if you didn't.

The reason YPN isn't flushed out the the rest of the known world is very plain ... they are tweaking their content relevancy algo.

I think eventually they will go worldwide. However, I am enjoying it being US only. Nice payouts.

Will CPC go down when YPN goes worldwide? I don't think so. When you've got clicks, you'll share the pay with yahoo only, not with the rest of the world.

But there's a possibility that there're not enough advertising budget to feed millions more mouth.

Reasons why Yahoo can't and SHOULDN'T go worldwide yet:

    1) Too many problems still to iron out. Can you say, "Poor ad targeting?"
    2) Not enough advertisers to support the rush of new publishers. Can you say, "Low ad inventory?"
    3) As soon as they go worldwide, their problems will skyrocket. Can you say, "No infrastructure in place to deal with the crap that plagues Adsense?"
    4) See the massive fraud that has driven Adsense's CPC into the ground.

    and finally:

    5) I'm selfish. As soon as YPN goes worldwide, CPC will most definitely dive thanks to frauds and a sea of cheats coming into the program, and I will be making less. And oh yeah, too much publisher competition. Hey, I'm selfish, but I'm honest. :)

Hey, I just skimmed the TOS again and didn't see where it said you can only display the ads to US visitors (only saw this restriction for rss). Have they gone worldwide? I'm guessing that I'm just not seeing it.

I agree 100%, as much as it sucks for everyone outside of US, if YPN goes international today everyone will be saying how much it sucks, and how great Adsense is. Theres just no way YPN can go international right now without a complete collapse of the little possibility it has of being a major competitor to Adsense. If it stays restrictive to US only for now, while it expands to accomodate the international community, when it finally opens its doors it will drive Google to shambles. But if it goes live now it will be like shooting yourself in the foot.
