It is amazing to see people selling their work - I'm thinking mainly content creation - for a few cents. Also - thinking about webdesign and online creative - quoting prices which amount to 20% of what people charge in the UK. I know this is often to do with the cost of living elsewhere but still, is it a good thing that people work for next to nothing? There is never going to be a fair distribution of wealth if people undercut one another. Then again I wouldn't deny people the right to earn enough money to feed their families. What can be done about this state of affairs?
its good for the buyer anyway but on a serious note those trying to make a living its not. alot of the low cost contests directly correlate to quality, i.e poor. But you get some hidden goodies for cheap around here.
Quality comes with a price. It is common to see people selling their article for few cents in bst but I am not certain about the quality and originality of those cheap articles. Again, the price is determined by the simple demand and supply theory.
Well internet is good media through which the work can be outsource to amywhere in world. It brought single platfrom to work, communicate, shared the resources.
Many people drop their price. It is mainly because of the cost elsewhere. Some need only a few bucks to get a good living while others need more. Sometimes you get good stuff from those dropping their price but not always. Kind regards, Yogesh
I believe you get what you paid for, if you want more quality works then be willing to fork out higher price for it.
I heard that India has 800,000 IT graduates a year alone. So we also have a flooded market scenario too I think.
The problem is that buyers can use the example of cheap suppliers to put pressure on premium suppliers. As soon as premium suppliers have no work they bring down their prices. They could decide to be stubborn but then they go out of work.
