Where do you host your videos?

I am looking for a good solution to host my video. Hosting a video on my dedicated server really slows down my website. I only have one video and it is slightly higher resolution. Should I subscribe to a service or get another server dedicated for streaming media?

has anyone tried out http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/video.html ? And does it work for streaming videos on my website? Or is it something different?

Oh, don't use your own server for video hosting. Yes, try youtube and vimeo. Just embed the video in your post or web content. Other sites you may use: blip.tv and metacafe.

    my client uses http://www.ezs3.com/

i log in and edit/upload for them.

very easy to use and setup player skins and stop other poeple hotlinking to you videos.

you pay per bandwidth used. a few cents per mb.

We host them on our own domains so we can benefit from links and the traffic they generate, also gives us more control over.

Best place to host your videos without having to worry about anything AND get views, would be YouTube. To each his own, though

Blip.tv is nice if it's just one video. They allow the original (HD) video to be watched along with a lower resolution version for slow-internet visitors. Otherwise YouTube is the best, but their video quality conversion is kind of poor for specific video formats.

If your trying to sell something Youtube is the worst... it's an exit... after they watch your video other options come up to watch another video and there went your sale. Its almost as bad as putting adsense ads on a landing page... But hey to each there own!!!

Even, i too host my videos on YouTube. Simply because it is free, reliable, user-friendly and popular...

Hosting on your own server can be annoying...You will lose out on speed...

I actually had to do a little research on this subject, myself. I didn't want to use YouTube for certain videos due to the fact that people can go to the source of the video through the video itself... Guiding them away from my website and making videos non-exclusive. I wanted a video hosting service that had no back-linking to the video hosting website. Although these places are great for exposure... This would make Youtube, Vimeo, etc. out of the question for SOME videos (things that I wanted to be exclusive to my own website). The only real place I found that will host your video for free and, with a little modification, allows you to have a "private" video viewable ONLY at the place that you specifically embed it, with NO backlinks to the host's website... Was Viddler.

There's a few disadvantages to Viddler, like the fact that they only allow 500mb maximum video size... However, there are more advantages than disadvantages. Although you can only upload 500mb... They don't put a time-limit on this. You could upload a low quality 2 hour video IF the size is 500mb or less. There is no limit to the amount of videos you can upload. They also have a partner program just like YouTube (but doesn't seem to be as strict), and professional options for more video space/bandwidth/faster uploading/faster support etc. (much like Vimeo).

As a side note, although this website is not intended for the average joe, ExposureRoom has got some of the best video quality I've seen. The quality is right up there with DivX encoded websites like the former Stage6!

I just started with video posting but I'm using you tube and my own site. You tube makes it easy to embed your videos. I just put one on hostnhub (dot) info
