Youtube Commenting

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by JMDomains, Jan 23, 2010.

Has anyone tried youtube commenting to generate traffic, or is this even possible?

I havnt tried it myself but I own a tv series forum and commenting on tv series clips would give quite a bit of exposure.

Do you think this would be worthwile or would it be removed as spam?

    Thanks,
    John

I think I may comment my link on 25-30 site related videos and see what results that generates.

That will work for 100% because people will search a same things. But that will be a hard job to comment in my opinion :)

Your better off submitting video comments on youtube that have to deal with the same topic.

There are a lot of people getting a few 100 visits with youtube commenting, but the traffic doesn't last very long unless of course you're looking for backlinks

Not tried about youtube comment. Maybe that would also add some traffic to your site if someone click on your username or link used in your profile.

Backlinks, what backlinks? Digitalpoint dot com?

Man,... Yt does not allow links in comments so, there are no backlinks ... besides all links on YT are nofollow except the one that you put on your profile ... and if you get downvoted (and you get for spamming) your comment won't show...

Youtube commenting definitely can get you traffic. The trick is not to make it look spammy. You also need to be creative about sneaking your links in the comments since they won't let you place links..

so domain (.) com , or domain dotCOM work well for me... Yahoo traffic is not the most targeted, and most people are not looking to buy so the conversions will most likely be low.

Youtube commenting is focussed and more for one particular user who has posted the topic. not for general comment on the forum for other users to read and make a judgement.

I have used YouTube Comments Poster software with some useless sites to test the effectiveness of comments in social media networks, and results were better than expected. The best thing about comments in social networks is that this type of marketing isn't as popular as blog commenting, so it's easier to outperform your competitors.
