How much backlink is enough

    I did few backlink for my article but each time i check for backlink with yahoo site explorer it returns no result.Now my question is 'how long does it take for backlinks to show up?'

    Anywhere between 7 days to 6 weeks. Snapshots in yahoo siteexplorer as well as google webmaster tools are outdated and updated at certain intervals only.

    You can readily check if the article is cached, if it is cached, the links are most likely already 'working for you'.

    yahoo is poor in terms of quickness and can take long time but these links may be detected by other search engines

    it usualy takes from one hour to couple of weeks, depends of web site you put link on

    For backlinks, there more the better. Also, it takes some time for it to appear in the search results.

    I think social bookmarking will help you website be index by google. Based on my own experience, when I add my site to some bookmarking site, in few minutes my site has been crawled.
