This will depend on your niche, where the traffic comes from etc.

I have sites that get a tonne of traffic from StumbleUpon, but that traffic doesn't convert very well. Yet other sites I run get traffic directly from search engines from organic searches and that traffic converts much much better.

It will also depend on the types of ads that you're using and how much the advertisers are paying.

I have a new site that is in a very profitable niche, but competition is very high, which means I have to work harder to rank.

It's not as easy as many make it seem, making money online is hard work at times.

 

If you can target some high paying niches, you can probably do it with 3000 visitors a day. Average 5% click through rate gives you 150 clicks a day. People say you get 25% of the advertised CPC in google's keyword tool, so you're looking for a keyword that has a CPC of at least $2.64. Each click will give you approx $0.66

I did not ask him directly. However, my friend told me that he are making so much money with 3000 unique visitor per day, because he write every day, and each article have an average of 1500-2000 words. It is the reason because his articles are always on the first position on google. Quality and quantity always win.

 

This sounds right...same thing happens to me when I write articles, google loves my site and they always rank well....I would still ask him more details though...becuase it is always better to get more help.

In my case, I have around 3k UV and around 8k pageviews but only around $2 a day ?!! is it just me !!

 

I have 2 adsense sites. I only have time to update and seo one site. But my daily ecpm is double digits. I guess its the niche. But if you have spent a lot of your time doing seo and still getting just $2/day, you may want to look at other niches and start afresh. Use google tools to check if your niche is low-paying first. Because when I first started, I was only getting $0.50 a day in the first month. So, you are still doing fine if you have just started.

 

This is very cut and dry. 3000 UV can mean any random amount in adsense.

There are only three variables that matter

Traffic (3000) X CTR (5-7% avg depends on niche) X CPC( what advertiser is bidding - depends on KW)

That is the only way adsense calculates earnings there is no secret!!!

I also noticed that it depends on what traffic you are getting....not all traffic from google is good...If people find you through google images then they already have what they want...and that is the image...

Traffic from social bookmarking and forums, blog poasts, etc are real people that can click ads. Same with article marketing.

 

I just block my account on adsense due to curiosity.
