Rumsfeld had strong comments about Iran and lets how many Arabs/Muslims are celebrating in the streets. This time they will celebrate amidst debris and rubble in Iran.

Payback time Arabs!!! And I think when Iran is getting the thrashing, Israelis will bombard Syria to kingdom come.

These are my views so far.

If sanctions don't work, then there will be a strike and go until they are soft as jelly. I can't see an invasion, that would play for them.

Enough from their gamblings, its too expensive already.

you don't need to invade Iran. Given, if you know where the nuke plants are, you could taken them out with well placed missile strikes. One accidentally hitting the presidential palace would probably not be too hard to imagine either. Enough of a bloody nose, and who knows what would happen inside that country, given the so-called rebellious younger crowd who is supposed to be wanting a change.

I don't see why China would care about Iran.

    China cares about Korea.

Setting the question of invasion aside, the U.S. does not need China's permission for anything!

The could not stop us. Since when does China dictate US Foreign Policy?

I'm not to optimistic of a Iran invastion, and I hardly see the need. Their admistration has been on the verge of collapse for years. Their youth love America, and Americans, they want to be like us. It's only a matter of time. They will fall just as communisim did.

I agree. We certainly don't want to alienate the Iranian youth. They are the hope for the future of good relations between our countries.

Unless there is some specific threat directed immediately at the US, I am against any war with Iran. These people were gassed by Saddam, mentally and physically tortured by the communist regime (Soviet Union) for years. Their people will overcome and over throw their government soon enough.

The one thing I can't understand is:

Mr Tony Blair and all his advisers openly admit that the ONLY way forward as far as sustained power (of the electrical type!) is Nuclear.

And yet Britain and America feel they have the right to tell another country that they can't have this energy source.

And if you think they are going to make a bomb out of it, use the same argument. We have the bomb but you can't.

when iran stops funding and arming terrorist groups around the world, that might argument MIGHT hold validity, but they do, so it does not.

when iran stops telling the world it wants to wipe Israel (and the west) off the map and kill the infidels, it'll have validity too, but since they do want to do that, they should not want have weapons to make their dreams possible.

New Flash there Hopper. Iran's ambitions are not for Nuclear energy.
That was a different time, and they were built for a different reason. If anything we have all but reduced our arsenal to nothing, and continue to do so.

We built them with the intention of never using them. Iran (actually their nut case weany boy leader) wants them so he can use them.

China care because they are a developing country, they too will be wanting to do what Iran is doing, so they can't protest against Iran

China gets a large share of their oil from iran, they would not just sit by and watch us shut it off

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A55414-2004Nov16.html

Well if they stopped selling us cheap crap, and stopped loaning us money we could have huge depression

Hate to break this to you but china can pretty screw us if they want, economically and even militarily

What would happen if China sent some troops there?
