Okay, I've spent hours searching for a solution to this and trying to figure it out myself with no luck. I have a wordpress blog for my website, and everything is just the way I want it except for a problem with the sidebar. On the main page, the sidebar shows up just fine if I display a static page, but when I click on a single post, archives, or do a search, the sidebar disappears, also when I tries displaying blog posts in the home page also the sidebar and the footer disappers.I dont know what is causing this?I am using a video blogging wordpress theme.

In the reading settings of my wordpress blog if I choose a static page as home page, there will be no problem displaying the sidebar posts, but if I try to choose "Your latest post" options instead of static page option I am seeing my sidebar getting disappeared and also my footer spacing also disappears. Can someone suggest me what this is causing.

open index.php of your theme - find where is the sidebar loader
usualy the main parts of the theme are separated with <--- tags
    <--- sidebar starts for example
then open the single.php and try to find the same place where the sidebar code starts in index.php - try to place the code (but be very precise)

there's something else - if your theme is no written to be with sidebar in paost pages - you'll need probably to fix and some things in style.css file

Let us know what is the situation

edit: now i read your post again... why don't your try any other theme for video blogs ? maybe the code is too messed in this one

As per your other thread, not without you providing a link so we can see what's occurring. Could be one of a number of reasons.
