Find forums that aren't nofollows:

Search google like this: guitar forum -nofollow

That'll give you a list of forums about guitars, where the links are good.

Now, find a subject and write an article about it on your site.

Go to the forums you've found and post a link to your article.

Create really good content, that people will WANT to link to!

Link Exchange : Search for some relevant websites and send email to their webmaster and ask them if they are interested in exchanging link because both sites are related. Add his link before asking for exchange.

Nofollow links will not be counted by the search engines. So maybe they are good for getting traffic but it doesn't count as a backlink.

For getting as many links as possible you can try the mass submitter but you won't get many high quality backlinks if you don't submit them yourself.
