As you use different computer they might be using different google data centers. Also, you might know about google personalised search which will affect the ranking.

i have seen this happen before. Try checking in a few more days and all pc's should reflect the same ranking. wonder what really causes this to happen when google does the ranking update?

This has recently happened to me. If affected my Australia client that I wanted to be ranked on google.com.au .. I waited a few days and it seemed to reflect the same ranking eventually.

You are seeing your personalized search results. If you are logged in to Google on one computer and not on the other you will see different results based on your individual search habits.

Do this; on the same computer log in to your Google account and view the results, then log out of your account and check the results and you will see the difference.

Actually you don't have to be logged into a Google account to see personalised results - it's cookie based and will be on any computer you use - but as you don't do exactly the same on different computers, you won't get the same results. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/personalized-search-for-everyone.html
Everybody sees slightly different results - based on browser history, cookies, geo-location, data centres and probably if you prefer tea or coffee ;)

I think google is returning personalized search results, If you clicked on your own listing in the seeach engine result pages google remembers it that you preferred this listing and it moves that results towards the top next time you search for the same keyword. You may want to sign out of google completely and empty all the cookies and search again, this time you might get different results.

It's all due to data appearing to you from different data centers

try to check the result globally on google.com. I think you use different data centres. For example, if I check the result on google.com on computer A and I check the result in google.co.in on B, both returns different results. You did the same and you found the difference in the ranking with the same keyword on different pcs.

Week back I've got first position for my keyword. But after that I have realized that Google has given that result using their customized results. After I disabled that again its started showing original result.

You are right because I have already faced it with my Mozilla Firefox 3.5. After deleting cookies you will get exact result. And if you Google Chrome, you will not face any problem in it.

This happens to me all the time. It might be that you're clicking the site too many times on your home computer and that's why it's always ranked higher/lower. Everyone's computer is different, though.

    Exactly.

Try to clear your cookies or use another browser from your usual one and you will see the real result.
