Most banners pay a CPM so if your getting thousands of visitors go with banners. Otherwise your clicks are going to be more valued in the beginning
I tried setting banner only ad once. Unfortunately it did not earn much compared to mixed banner and text ads.
There really is no definite answer to that question. Many have ad blindness due to so many ads out there. Many are just so use to ads that they just don't pay them any attention. Text links, however, inserted in an artilce, or whatever, may catch their eye much better. Then again, if the banner looks just right, and it is placed in the right spot on the page.... I say do both. Put text (sales copy) above, and possibly below, the banner to help catch their eye more. What works even btter is to use just a simple picture, along with sales copy. Make it look as if it is part of the content on the page.
I will go for links, probably not for the direct traffic from the site itself. I'll use my keyword as the anchor text & improve my serps.
yes banner advertising is giving the best performance for most of the publishers..you cna maximize your earnings using banner ads...
Thank you for the advice. I have some really high traffic sites and I don't seem to so well with adsense. For a long time I focused on link ads but I am slowly moving back to image ads. You are right. They do look better than links. Thank you
If you talk in the sense of click rate then banners are good choice but if you also want keyword optimization then links will prove the purpose . . . _________________________________________________________________ Wedding Caterers Boston, Bar Mitzvah Caterers Boston
Depends on your niche I would say. Say you are in the Anime niche, then obviously a graphical banner would make sense, but if you are in the Make Money Online niche, then a catchy headline could be better.
