Tips for Running Your New Online Business

I just wanted to share with you a few tips that I hold dear in running my business.

1.) Treat your business like a business. - I mean seriously if you don't treat your business like a business it is doomed to fail.

2.) Set a schedule - Yes, I know you are your own boss which is wonderful feeling but you need to set a schedule work the schedule and don't give up on yourself.

3.) Do something you love - don't do something just for a pay check. Most people that do it for a paycheck easily get bored and often abandon what it is there doing down the road.

Do something you love, and it will tell you all of its secrets.

4.) You never fail, you just find ways on how not to be successful. Learn from your mistakes and build upon those. You can only not succeed so many times then sooner or later your bound to get the right formula.

Also keep a journal of things you have tried. This away you can look back into your records and see if something has already been tried, and if it was you can see how successful it was for you.

Take advice with a grain of salt. Some advice is going to be amazing and mind blowing while other advice is well just advice and doesn't necessarily mean you have to implement it but you should at least take the lesson from the advice.

Listen to your audience after all they are the ones who buys or uses your products.

My advice take it or leave it. But it helps me.

    Good post :)

You don't know how much time I've wasted by not setting a schedule. It is essential if you want to be competitive.

Hey thanks for this great thread!
I also work on a schedule for my newest business project called Traffic Ultimatum. It's so helpful to have something like a timetable to get the best out of your work. Without aims and a plan it's hard to reach the aim.

    Cheers!

I agree, 1st point says it all.
I have seen so unprofessional clients in past ( online ) who are just so unprofessional.

Thanks for the tips and a wake up call.

Set up a vision book and put pictures of the things you want to acheive in and set your goal to reach these dreams. Keep going back to your book and adding new things to work towards.

One more tip I can give you is to enjoy what you are doing in your business. It will make all the difference in the world if you actually enjoy what you are offering your customers. A large number of online businesses are started purely for profit and nothing else. This is usually shown in their business practice. The quality of your work will be much greater provided you enjoy the subject. Online or on a street, your business should be run with an underlying interest in the product or service.

Yup you need to have a schedule/plan and stick to it.
Review it once a week, then replace things that don't work with
    some new ideas.

    Rinse and repeat.

Surely when the times comes, you will be amazed your business growth.

A friend of mine who is pretty successful in his little niche once told me he throws a lot of things at the wall and sees which ones stick. Good advice.

My advice is to trust your gut and that little voice in your head.

If you want to get achievements in your business then set goal and define time period to achieve them. More serious you are more success you have.

Another point I would like to add is learn from experience. Learn from experiencde what works and what does not. Keep expanding on those that works
