Web CEO is letting me down

    my main issues with it are:

    - when running keyword searches it doesn't list competition sometimes, which makes me not trust it

    - it claims things that i know are untrue, like saying long title tags will "hurt your ranking". i have multiple sites with long titles and are ranking page 1 on google, sooo....


    i'd list more but my main point is i can't trust it. can anyone suggest a trusted, tested, tried and true SEO software (please don't say "use your brain", looking for SEO software)

    WebCEO is one of the best. For me there is no perfect tool. Use your brain!

    I hope youhave the paid version and also updated the database recently.

    Another great tool is link-assistant.com (the whole suite of tools)

    Web CEO is the best SEO software out there right now. That doesn't mean 100% of what Web CEO says is true. Its just the best we have at the moment. You shouldn't use SEO software to do "SEO" anyways. You use your brain to do that. I use Web CEO to check rankings, analyze competition's rankings, and thats about it.

    I agree absolutely, Web CEO is the best SEO software now. And especially good it is for tracking results. I use webceo for ranking checking, link management and traffic analysis. It is great for analysis.

    In addition to that software you should also use webmaster tools which will let you know if there is potential problem for indexing.

    The longer title will not hurt you, but it gives you that error based on the "keyword" you are trying to optimize. Usually the higher the weight of the keyword is in title its easier to rank, but that doesnt meant you can't rank with longer titles its just you might need little bit more work to do.

    I would recommend using your brain basic SEO is not that hard and it works, it's a skill that you will never have to pay for, can use on all your sites and can even sell.
