Which case is better, in terms of Seo rankings- in terms of pulling the pages up rankings (for a mini site) 1) 'Chicken Recipes'-->Home page-> 'Italian Chicken Recipes' --> Subpage 'Chicken Recipes'-->Home page->'Roasted Chicken Recipes' -->Subpage or 2) 'Italian Chicken Recipes'-->Home page-> 'Chicken Recipes' --> Subpage 'Roasted Chicken Recipes'-->Home page->'Chicken Recipes' -->Subpage 1) being the short keyword (Chicken recipes) pointing to Homepage.... then 'from' the homepage, the same keyword phrase + Extra keyword(Italian chicken recipes, Roasted chicken recipes) goes to a sub page? or the reverse 2) The Longer keyword phrase(italian chicken recipes) pointing to the Homepage.....then the Shorter keyword phrase (chicken recipes) pointing to the sub pages which scenario would be better in terms of pulling the pages up rankings (assuming onpage + offpage factors are good) anyone (+ keyword research people) can you please help me out, thanks
Logically it should be the number 1, as chicken is general and subpages could be italian chicken, roasted chicken, fried chicken...etc...
Agreed Chicken Recipes has 4 millon more pages listed on Google (27 million) as opposed to the 23 million for Italian so even though as Traffic-Bug said that would/should (hey you never can tell until tried though) in reality make it slightly easier to rank higher for the logical structure would work better in the first example as Camay123 stated.
hi, i would like to choose the first one because chicken its general and pointing to the homepage and the subpage could be Italian,roasted..
