11 Different Ways to Promote your Web Site !

I thought I would just share this here. I have compiled this based on my experience. Constructive suggestions / criticisms invited


1. Submit your site to as many Search Engines as possible. First Priority to Google and Yahoo. Login to Google and Yahoo webmaster tools and Submit your site as well as Sitemap.xml. Before that just make sure you have all put meta tags correctly and uploaded the robots.txt file to your root directory. Robots.txt file provides enough privileges for Search Engines to Crawl.

2. Submit your Site to High PR Web Directories. There are a lot of Directories availables. Select only those having good Page Ranks.

3. Create Profile/Account in as many Social bookmarking sites as possible. Submit sites in your profile as well as the Communities available. Priority to Orkut, Facebook, Digg.com, Stumbleupon, Twitter, Yahoogroups and Googlegroups.

4. Join Similar Web forums which has content related to your site and submit links in your signature and posts. Make sure you follow the forum rules. Else you will get banned.

5. Try for Backlinks to your main page or sub pages (One way links are the best, if not, Reciprocals). Too many reciprocal links are also not recommended.

6. Make video descriptions about your Website/s, and upload them in YouTube. Dont forget to display your site address in the video.

7. Similarly make Presentations about your Site and put them Slideshare.com

8. Create a Google Friendconnect Account and add to your website. Interested folks might join your website which will add your site link to their profiles.

9. Go for advertising campaigns like Google adwords, Facebook ads etc if you have enough budget for Advertising.

10. Join and submit article in Hubpages, hotscripts etc (if your site is related). They allow 1 or 2 links to your site. Folow the rules. Dont try to spam them. They will remove the contents.

11. Try writing a useful document on Docstoc.com and submit as a word document, putting your links in the headers.

Don't waste your time witting articles.

 

Number 11 seems to be new in my ear. That task could be very hard and time-consuming, anyway, I'm looking forward on other insights about it.

 

I have posted 11 points from my side. thats why! You can add more.

Since you are concerned, I tried to remove it . But is still appearing! I dont have access to do it.

 

i think article writing is still very effective and have some worth
