Is this the end of my DP career? Will I quit now?

    Hello everyone!

For the past few months, I have been very successful averaging $150 to $250 a month doing various tasks on DP from different clients. Starting this January 2010, no one is interested on my services anymore, even I have a high iTrader.....even now. I tried apply and apply, even on other forums but no one responded and interested on me. I also tried posting my own services, but no one interested.

And the bad thing is....I'm almost ran out of money! What left for me is a virtual assistant job requiring me to do daily high tasks but paying crap....$50 a month for "OVERTASKING".....and I feel this is the end. With this result, I cannot contribute personal expenses, giving allowances to my siblings and pay for my upcoming graduation ceremony.

My weakness here in DP is some hourly jobs and "pay after completion" jobs, because when I will be hired on hourly jobs, my dad always interrupted me for some emergency chores which results that some high quality clients fired me. My dad don't care if I have a deadline, which he wants me to take in charge of our boutique and gift shoppe, without pay. It's like a trap hole and when my mom goes there and saw me, she always ask me to buy foods for them, on my own money. I just need jobs that can pay me at least upfront or advanced payment, because I feel I'm boosting up here. But if they pay weekly, "pay after completion" type, I feel like losing. No one will help me anymore, and my parents cannot help me financially.

I try everything to recover, until now nothing improved. Will I quit freelancing? Will I give up everything and start looking for hard labor jobs which i think I'm not qualified because of crap record in my transcript? Is this the end of me?

I know that I will not give up, but until now nothing changed and recovered myself financially. :(

Sorry if this is the wrong section, and I'm happy if you can move this to another section if I am wrong with it.:(

Freelancing is very tough, the reason is mostly freelancers dont do the job properly or on-time not proper response..due to this freelancing is not preferred by many members. instead they go for some company to do the job or some freelancing website, where they can get some reliable freelancers...
try in some freelancing website, this is my opinion.

You should state upfront how much time you will be needing. State a little extra just for the heck of it. Don't procrastinate, do it immediately when it comes in. That's all I can say.

Persistance and determination are very important attributes to any freelancer. It's a cut-throat world as a freelancer, and you have to be prepared for low paying tasks aswell as higher paying ones. It may be worth saving up for a laptop or netbook of some sort in order to ensure you can be online more and take your work with you if you have to work for your parents. At the end of the day, giving up is easy, but it won't further your web career.

Freelancing is really a tough job mate. Everyday there is more and more competition and to take over this situation all you have to do is to try hard and provide high quality services at affordable prices. I think you must continue working without losing hope.

Freelancing is a very tough business to start and even tougher to maintain. There are times that you will need to spend hours and hours each day in order to make any money. I am in the beginning stages of my content creation service business. I am also looking into Yahoo Answers as a service.

There are others ways to make money with DP which I am researching right now. Some take a few hours to only a few minutes. I guess what I am trying to say is do not give up, just find another service to offer (if possible).

I know its a hard time, but never give away ur hope, u could still get a big deal tomorrow, if u quit today, then u might not b lucky to grab this offer.
why don't u try for hrly basis which is ur shop's off-time, u could overcome un-expected interruptions in this way

and all the very best to u for ur future decision, hope it can b a good one

mean while try for other mode online jobs, there r lots, its justt we miss thm

Try offering different services. If what you're offering currently is not working then learn another service and offer it at a better price. Always ask for upfront payments. Be a winner.

    Kind regards,
