Website Upload Speed

Discussion in 'WordPress' started by netgo, Jan 2, 2010.

    Hi,

I have a site that is very slow to upload.
It doesn't have almost any pictures or text for now since it is still new, so I can only assume the WP theme is causing the problem.

Is there anything I can do to increase site upload speed (that doesn't include replacing the theme)?

    Thanks!

What do you mean by upload? Is it when posting at the Admin/User Panel and you want to upload an image? If yes than the only prob is the webhosting.

I'm not sure what you mean with 'upload', but probably, problem belongs to webhost or your internet connection.

    Cheers!

I mean that when I try to view any of the pages of the site, it takes 30 seconds or more until I can see any objects on the page. I use the same hosting for other sites and they are not so slow as this one.

maybe this one have huge amount of information.... dunno'.

Try to talk with your hostin provider. They should be able to check if is other problem than the size of your files.

Let's start off with a link to your site. Without seeing it, all we're able to do is make guesses.

Thank you. I have 3 plugins though so I don't think that's the problem.
I changed the theme a bit by deleting some parts and I wonder maybe it's slow because I should have removed the functions that are calling the parts that I have removed? If that makes sense?

On what forum should I post this question?

Yes it does but all of my other sites do to so I don't think its that.

should I remove the functions that are calling the parts that I have removed from my theme? will that help?

Why don't you give a link? Why waste the time of those people trying to help you? All we're doing is making guesses and can't make any real suggestions until we can see what's occurring!

How many times do folks have to ask for a link before you'll give it?
