If you are doing SEO for your own site then it better to have few readings about the SEO. See to that you get the quality backlinks in terms of PR and relevance to your site.

its hard to say why your rankings are down. maybe due to the recent google update or could be typical google dance. see if you get the ranking back in few days. other than that, i just can say keep working

Well, it's pretty hard to tell you the exact reason. You might want to check if your sites got any penalty.

If you have been adding alot of backlinks it could be that you are adding too many too fast. Add them slowly and gradually and vary the anchor text. Also don't point all of the links to one page of your site. Linking should look natural

To check if your site has been penalised. check site:www.yourdomain.com
if nothing comes up, then it means you site has been removed

seems that google is making some changes because I noticed lot of changes on my google rankings for the different sites I manage...... maybe is just temporary, I´ll wait for a few days to see if something change, if not, maybe google have a new tactic that SEO guys like us have to discover...

It could be that you have been sandboxed or that you need to continually get backlinks and you stopped.

I think you must submit sitemap, then check it again on Google Webmaster Tools.
