maxlinks.org & DirJournal Look similar - Design ripoff??

Is it just me or does www.maxlinks.org really look like DirJournal (www.dirjournal.com) .. ??

 

Its not just you its my eyes too which is saying the same.

Have a check at: http://www.livedir.net/ too, belongs to the same group.

Some losers have no creativity.

 

This is completely rip off design IMO

Even such non-creative guys copied the whole structure of inside pages too, e.g. http://www.maxlinks.org/submit.php and http://www.livedir.net/submit.php having same style as that of DirJournal

 

Well nothing beats the original.

 

Theres some slight variation but yeah it looks pretty close, too close to just say its a coincidence or that the designers minds were in sync with each other.

Unless the same designer worked on both sites or was requested to make it look like.....

There is/was a bunch of free directories that were using a template very very close to that of the popular nettuts site, i tried contacting nettuts about it which was made more difficult than necessary so i didn't bother trying again.

That's a rip off. I remember this kind of practices were quite popular a few years ago...now it's sad to see idiots doing the same thing.

Someone get in touch with Hassan @ DirJournal ...I bet he won't be happy to see this.

 

Design ripoff for sure! seems maxlinks guy ruined the design..So a message for all copy/fake designers..

"don't mess with Popular designs.. you're not that smart"

 

Too much influence right down to the expensive pricing, they figure it should go all the way. They dint care much for the background texture though. lol

Lol i have to admit this is bit funny, this ripper has got some skills though. But papdir.com dont look like djs rip off to me or is it just me ! (sorry my question mark is not working) Also i he is using FLASH over just normal images as on dirjournal on there, that is quite some change, its just the format maybe that is same but design looks different.

DJ might as well make it a free template and get a new design, seem everyone wants to copy it.

I got in touch with them using the contact form. Initially, they denied that the design was copied and were not ready to do anything about it. We sent out a couple of emails letting them know of the consequences and here is the email that we got today
