Domain factor as seo factor for google?

Discussion in 'Google' started by jacobkell, Jan 8, 2010.

I recently bought two domains which names are very good keywords, but with extension tv.Since tv renewal cost 35$,should i push those keywords which i have in domain name? For those who doesnt know what is domain factor,is when your domain name is let say sauseges.com and you target keyword sauseges,so that means you shoud rank better then someone who doesnt have word sauseges in his name. So,should i push those keywords?I already rank first for keyword with first domain but on yahoo while i am nowhere on google.

I would say absolutely... Push whatever keywords you need to bring visitors to your site. It is typical to have to wait for G.

Yep, but I'm starting to get the feeling that Google likes .com .net over other domains. My .biz sites are not doing very well. :(

Domain factor is very important in positioning on Google. Site with domain name will have chance to position a lot better than the one which only optimize site for that keyword, and have different domain name.

Its been said many times that .com .net and .org have a stronger value in googles eyes than other tlds. No one knows for sure (except google) so take that for what it is worth.

The keywords in the domain definitely make a big difference. Also in my experience .com and .org are the best extensions for SEO

Keywords Present in Domain Name, are weighted far higher in SERPs...

Building a website based on your domain Keyword, will help you gain high SERPs too quickly and beat the leaders out there easily

I'd think TLD didn't have effects on SEO much unless your domain is an exact match of the keyword.
