I don't think so! Paypal has to be informed before any transfer. I have heard of cases in which paypal has not transferred money to joint a/cs.
Thats not true. If you have joint account with someone else then also you can withdraw funds from your paypal account to that account without having any problem. DON.
I am not aware of how it is done as I have not tried it myself but I guess it is possible to transfer money to a joint bank account if you are the first holder... since in such a case, your name would anyway appear on display with your bank account... for Paypal to easily make a deposit. As far as my knowledge if you are second holder in joint account then also you can withdraw funds to that account from paypal. DON.
Thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that only the first holder's name was visible with the account number and so was thinking on this line. Now... in such a scenario, whose income would it be considered for accounting/tax purpose? Is it completely a beneficiary's prerogative to club this receipt in whosoever's account it may deem fit? That may be true. But I have read some where that Paypal has objected in a joint account payment and sent it back! May be he had some problem with his bank a/c. Thanks for the clarification Don!
but the op is from dhaka and that is not possible to open joint account in india without visiting. That's only work if account name and paypal name are same.
this is not a issue im using indian frnds paypal ac.. an now wants to cash ma $ via joint account of sbi.. tnx don help me so much.
