    Obviously porn/adult is number one but im curious what the other ones are. I have my theories and are backed by some research but im interested in hearing what you all think.

    1. Adult
    2. Gambling
    3. tv shows/movies
    4. blogging
    5. make money

    Ima go with that for now... i change my mind just about every day I'm online... this will do for now.

    I think Making Money Online is much higher than #5, although I suppose rank doesn't matter. Think how many famous bloggers and internet marketers there are who make money by telling people how to blog or how to make money.

    There really isn't a top 5. More like a top 3 with a huge dropoff after that.

    In no particular order:
    Porn
    Health (weightloss)
    Finance (stock markets)

    That's not necessarily to say one should target these areas. They are heavily saturated and it's easier to grab market share in niche categories and usually even get more traffic.

    The making money online market that people are citing in this thread is a flash in the pan. There is some money to go around, but not much. While the forums may be busy, it's mostly poor people who poke around for a bit looking for money online, and they don't want to spend anything. They come and go very quickly. A revolving door of noobs.

    Gambling is a really hot niche...there's a lot of casinos out there and gambling sites.I was a gambler time ago and all I can say is that so many gamblers are desesperated for the "winning system at blackjack/poker/horse racing" (personal experience).

    Agree with the 5 markets! :)

    yah, health should probably be up there. I would agree weight loss is the biggest health market. When i mention gambling i mean more so online gambling... pokerstars.net? is HUGE

    finance though? really.... I know its big, but big enough to be on that list? Im curious what sub markets in finance do you all have in mind when referring to finance.
