problem conecting to mysql db

    I am doing a few tests on different blogging scripts but I am have problems setting them up
    with the lastest problem I am having I am getting this message
    Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (13) - 2002


    anyone know what it means
