Great potential for ownership of a Paris Hilton Pictures website.

    Domain Registered: 18-Dec-05
    Site Launched: 02-Jul-06
    Domain Expires: 19-Dec-06
    Registrar: GoDaddy

Traffic: averages 300 unique visitors per day
Revenue: averages over $7 per day (AdSense)

    Pages: 65
Google Index of Hilton Pictures ~ 50 pages

    Minimum Bid: $2200
    Reserve Price: $2600
    BIN: $3200

Sorry but on this site and sale, I will only accept bids from senior, reputable Digital Point members - both terms subject to my own subjective definition and interpretation. Junior members and/or those without a solid reputation and iTrader rating will only be able to purchase the site through an escrow service at their expense.

Auction will end 48 hours after the first bid.

If the reserve price is not met within 7 days of post, consider the sale cancelled.

I reserve the right to reject offers or not sale.

    Hey,
Can i have revenue stats over the last 3-6 months? How often do you update the site? All links will stay after the sale? Have you ever used coop? The only adsense ad you have placed is the 160x600 one on the right??

I wonder if you jumped directly to senior after a few weeks of joining. Understand this, before you get 11 iTrade, it must be 0 1 2 3...

And your itrade is only 11. Don't be picky. Look at amitpatel's, and he's not even this picky.

Do you actually ovn the right to show these pictures? Usually this sort of thing is copyrighted and you can get into a lot of trouble. Please post where you get the pictures from and proof that the site is legal.

My forum focuses on things going on in the webestate scene and this auction got posted for discussion. It is not a duplicate auction or anything bad, we just discuss website auctions going on elsewhere and post our opinions on what is a good investment and what you should stay away from.

    Wow ... where to start?

The site was only launched on July 2nd, so there aren't 3 - 6 months worth of revenue stats.

Just built the site less than 2 months ago, I've done no updating since honestly.

All links will stay? Are you talking about the ones already present on the site now? That would be nice, but I can't see trying to enforce it. If you're talking about the links pointing to this site, they're all mine for the most part, or purchased directory features - no issues there.

The site is earning more than 210 p/m; I merely took that times 10 for the starting bid, times 12 for the reserve and times 15 for the BIN

The site is only 'advertised' on freshdames.com and a few other sites that I own/operate, and also has some featured listings in directories.

The biggest referrer from search engines is MSN and then some from Yahoo! Google Images bot has hit this site hard, and I'd think they could easiy take over as the #1 referrer after they put pics from the site in their images index.

This is done as a security measure, not to be offensive. A junior member is welcome to buy but it would go through escrow at their expense. amitpatel is welcome to bid on this site and sale and I'd trust him - we've done business in the past. I said it would be "subjectively applied" meaning on a case by case basis depending on the individual.

If you don't want to bid, then don't. If it's priced wrong, it won't sell. But the price will not be lowered. Paris Hilton is not just the top searched female in the world, she's the #1 searched term in the world. This site and its price is a solid deal for someone; if not, it's not costing me anything to keep it.

you didnt address the issues of having copyrighted pictures on your site unless you own the rights to them, which i doubt.

    its illegal.. correct?

You seem to be making assumptions along with bookatechie which makes you look like thread trashers instead of community members.

Show me specifically which images you feel are protected under copyrights and then by all means contact the owner and report them ... you will only look stupid in the longrun ... all of the images on this site are ones I've been using for years that are either public domain or I've obtained permissions for during building collaborative partnerships with other entities for usage on other sites. bookatechie went so far as to make a libelous post on a forum he owns, making a factual statement that is not true ... if you don't have something positive to ask or add, then don't bother posting in someone's thread.

Well, I just think your price is a little bit too high, that's all. 15 posts and not a single bidder...do you think something is wrong ? ;) Maybe if you reduce your price, you'll get some offers. If not, then good luck finding a buyer.

He is doing the average BID and BIN that EVERYONE does onthis forum

x10 the monthly revenue for BID
    x15 for BIN

Why should he go down any?

Love the site, and would buy it myself... just don't have the $$$ :)

I think if you want to have a good community, you should have members that look out for each other. How would you feel after spending $3200 on a website just to find out that you need to shut down for copyright violations? I think censoring our concerns about copyright might make you “look stupid in the long run”. All you had to do is let us know that you have obtained the publishers permission to use those pictures on your website for profits and we are good to go. By the way, how come you say you have been using these pictures for years if you only have the website since July? Instead now you are making a big deal about it and calling us liars, thread thrashers and bashing my forum, I thought you said don’t post if you don’t have anything positive to add.

Here are a few links to laws and rules about copyright ... just to back my "libelous post" from earlyer.

Yes, this site has only been live for a few months, but other sites that I own and have become well-known for have been active for years.

I can agree with your statement about looking out for the community as a whole, but you didn't even give a chance for the questions to be asked or answered before you made assumptions and then went a step further to post about this thread in another forum (that you own/control), again, before even getting an answer. Everytime someone goes to sell a site of this or a similar genre, here come the naysayers .... the only person you're being a hero to is yourself ...
