How much time a new blog stay on Sandbox?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by nichering, Nov 26, 2009.

I created a new niche blog around 3~4 days ago. It was indexed by Google (as it shows on Google Webmaster Tools, but it still doesn't get indexed even in top 500 for the keyword of the niche.

Is it because new blogs stay a while in the Sandbox for a little bit competitive niches? How much time it normaly stay?

    Thanks for the help. :)

It doesn't look like your site is sandboxed - just your site is new and there are sites that rank better for your keyword.
You need to get some backlinks to try and improve your sites ranking

Depends on the niche, I would say for a "non competitive" market 8-10 days from the time google first find your site. I have just launched a "very" competitve niche site and have the exact keyword domain, the site is begining to get indexed however I would expect to be in the sandbox for "at least" 6 months. Just add content and slowly and your patience should pay off...

    Good luck

One of my niche blogs : best-refinancing.com is on sandbox almost a year now and I tried every piece of information I found online but still I can't get it out from the sandbox, it ranks #2 on Yahoo & Bing but nowhere on Google. I checked, google still indexes it and it's on SERPS but I don't rank, could take more than 1 year to get out from sandbox ? If any1 knows please answer.

rmcs I looked over google analytics about your theory, and I kept changing dates until I didn't see any traffic from google/organic, so , the last time I had traffic from google was on march 2009 and we are on december, so it more than 8 months, I don't think there is a 8 month rule

How long your site is in Google's Sandbox will depend upon the niche, authority of the links coming in to the site etc.

There's nothing that you can do just keep building backlinks, keep adding content and use the time to be very productive.

how dont know what had happened to your site but if it is sandboxed than you should wait for the 5-6 months to come out from this..at this time you just managed to get the quality bl and add fresh contents to your site.....
