Call of Duty 6 (Modern Warfare 2) [Official Discussion Thread]

can anyone tell me how easy/hard it is to get 1000/1000G for Modern warfare 2? I need to get that on a game and the original was pretty easy (but i don't have it anymore )

 

Modern Warfare 2 is a great game,
the graphics are really great and you get in to the story
however i think they went over the top with the massacre mission
there was no need for it.

I wasn't too impressed with it to be honest... i mean they overbalanced the multiplayer yet again... not only did the killing spree perks get more powerful, they made it easier for people to randomly obtain them from the care packages... the story seemed a little lacking in places.

I really had high hopes that they'd include a decent multiplayer, but we got stuck with a mediocre special ops part... I mean don't get me wrong, it was a co-op non the less, but an offline and online story mode would have been awesome. I found i barely touched the multiplayer as i wanted to play it with my friends.

 

Man This Game is just hell of a game.......... thats all i can say. game over for 5 times

I got the game last month on the PS3 but never had the time to play it. Just managed to finish it this week...totally rocking! Loved it. Only con was the game was quite short.

 

only the single player story is short, the multiplayer is gonna last me til MW3 comes out

 

Mw2 like his similars cod4 WaW are designed for multiplayer. I spent 20 days of game play at cod4 online... dont tell me that the game is short. If you reach Prestige 10 and still say: This game is short... either you are an insane game player or you dont count the hours you spend playing. Only the campaign is short. And the special missions on mw2... If you manage the 69 stars... you must spend time on it...

Wait, you wished they included a decent multiplayer? What...hahahah.The CODMW2 online multiplayer is there, right in your face. Its hands down one of the best online shooter experiences I have ever had.

The multiplayer is fine. I dont know WHY everyone complains about it. Here is the whole purpose:

People LOVED COD4 multiplayer. They wanted that SAME exact multiplayer game play, with maybe some new perks, different maps, new skins, etc.

CODWAW came out. Same exact game play everyone loved and knew, just new perks, guns, etc. Win. People want more perks, new maps, etc.

CODMW2 comes out. They bring in a bunch of new maps, a crap ton of new guns, new perks and the ability to level them up, new awesome skins, a crap ton of challenges, new prestige icons, and you still complain? What do you want IW to do, entirely re-create the damn game? You perfectionists bitch and bitch and bitch until the game is what you want. I know for one, I want the SAME multiplayer experience as before, with some slight tweaks. You people ask for a completely different game.

The CODMW2 multiplayer, is JUST like 4. And just like WAW game play wise. you can level up, rank up, get/unlock/mod guns, get skins, play team deathmatch and so on. Works for me.

The issues where you keep getting killed by an "over powerd" gun, or some "noob" takes your care package? Thats why this is called a game. Its a challenge. Drop the care package, and get it before the enemy does. Not everything is going to be placed in your hands, your not going to go 30-2 every match. No guns are over powerd, thats how the game was built, and thats how it is. Yes, killstreaks are SUPEr powerful. Exactly. If your racknig up kills, then get some killstreaks and drop some bombs, your team is going to win. Your going to bitch because THATS over powering and it makes your team lose? Once again, its called a game. Thats the whole point.

When some guy robs you in real life and shoots you in the chest with an "over powerd shot gun" are you going to cry? No, fight back.

This game is flawless.

Happened to me more than once. Once in the middle of a rage with harrier+pave low+AC130 all at a time. It's horrible.

All add me juanoo9z on the PS3 (and indicate that you are from DP please )
43 tactical nukes and more waiting. I found out the following:
2 nukes on same prestige unlocks 1 title.
5 nukes on same prestige unlocks another one.
10 nukes on same prestige gets you the rotating icon of the nuke.
Another cool title:
"The conqueror" + Spanish flag is unlocked when calling in 50 ACs
My fav weapons:
-Barret or Intervention with the bullet penetration thingy.
-UMP45 or P90 silenced
-M16 with the more damage and bullet penetration thingy.

And my mother of all tips:
SLEIGHT OF HAND PRO will reduce your reaction time so use it the most
STOPPING POWER will make more damage and so less shots to take out an enemy
Sitrep pro is just awesome.

 

I play online ..using STEAM

 

This game is real fun but the end was coming way too fast and suddenly.

I've started playing on the PS3, just because every friday about 20 people from my college play together .

Yeah, I'm finding that I'm missing all my old guns but I'm up to rank 42 so it's getting better and as long as I have my p90 and my knife then it's all good .
