Anyone else noticing the PR being restored today on the bulk of directories that were penalized a couple of years ago?

Was awaken this morning by one friend who informed me that there was a PR update:eek:

Checked my directories - and was happy to find that -

I maintained the Greens for most of them - and some got + by one or two green pixels.

Was most happy - when I found that my almost 3 years directory - without any promotion, link-building became PR5 from PR4.

Never really worked on this directory and still maintaining PR4 + except on one occasion when it became PR3 one year back.

    So much so for link-building...........:D

Although PR means nothing these days - still these is no harm in knowing others views on this and its impact on our industry.

So what about your directories ........... ?

Mate - here we are talking about only directories.:(

    @DON

Google has lifted penalty on most directories - few weeks back.

My 2 penalized sites got PR3 each. Most others got PR4:)

Looks like most of the directories return from penalties. I still see some of them with PR0...

    Happy New Year!

    www.dirwizard.com got PR2 from 0...

I think this PR update is very kind to directories and I am very happy to the result.

quite many penalized directories like alivedirectory.com got some green bar...

I have 4 web directories and the oldest of mine, also the first of mine to be penalised has seen pr return, thanks for bringing more recent attention to this.

Because the others i have had pr removed later, i wonder if the same will happen for those too but at a later date.

Its nice to see, serps penalisation undone, pr damage undone.

Lessons learned, god yeah, lol :)

Now if only we could get those .info networks to listen to our warnings then they might not have to go through what we went through, but they are not listening so i imagine a new wave of mass penalisation will sweep (tsunami style) on them unfortunately (for them) some time in the near future.

AMRAY Directory stays the same PR4.
It hasn't went back to PR6, meaning not everybody got amnesty.
