I am offering a SEO service to my clients. Ideally, I would like to have a set of steps to do for every site, then add some special touches like bought links or directory links or blogs. Here is what I have so far: 1) Create list of keyworks to target 2) Install Googles webmaster tools 3) Link to them from my portfolio and company site 4) Go over each page: - Setting page title - Converting titles to H1-H6's - Working in keywords - Adding 'alt' tags to images - Adding 'summary' attributes to tables - Adding charset 5) Make sure they are listed in Google maps 6) Add webstats if they don't already have it 7) Create a couple dummy pages, with keywords 8) If the url is bad, register some different ones and add a page moved redirect/header to prevent a duplicate content penalty. Thoughts? Things you can add to this list?
- Add keywords in URL (rewrite urls if necessary) - Maintain keyword density in content (keyword relevant and keyword oriented content)
Avoid these following steps While doing ON Page and Off page Optimization Do not use on-page SEO spamming tactics such as : Hidden text Hidden links Keyword repetition Doorway pages Mirror pages Cloaking Do not use off-page SEO spamming tactics such as: Link farms (sites with 100+ outbound links per page) Using irrelevant keywords in your link-ads Garbage links Link churning Hidden inbound links
Thanks for nice sharing on SEO steps. Always, the keywords strategies would be on top of them. Target correct keywords for your niche and then use them in your site contents and in your backlinks' anchor texts. Have a nice day,
