Twitter: how many theets a day is ok?

I would say 4-5 posts a day is sufficient

 

my twiter gets updates 10-15 times as that many posts i add to my blog

 

I do only one or two tweets per day, I think it's more important to make my followers trust me and believe me, make them to be exited waiting for my daily tweet.

Posting dozens of non-sense tweets like many people do can be very annoying for some...

I guess I could do a few tweets a day if I really wanted to. Any more than 4 tweets a day would likely irritate those who followed me.

 

Around 20 tweets per day is ok IMHO. Don't post too much or else your followers will consider you as a spammer lolz

Seems very fair for me too.

When i take a look as a tweet treader not like a poster (assuming that most of us have, or will have soon at least of 1000 people we follow):
I wouldn't like to get more than that from each... ok maybe from a few interesting ones maybe more, but in general if everyone would send me 20 each, even if it is very interesting tweets.
1. I simply wouldn't have time to read all.
2. I would get messed up with overloads.

Simple math:
4 tweets a day from 1000 people i follow: 4.000 tweets daily
20 tweets a day from 1000 people i follow: 20.000 tweets daily

Difference probably makes sense

I make 10-20 tweets a day, sometimes more if I'm chatting with a few people. (@replies)

When I want to promote something on Twitter, I post 10-15 tweets a day. I do it in batches of 5. So, that's 5 in the morning, 5 around lunch time, and 5 in the evening. The most important is the last one. Out of each batch of 5, there are 4 content tweets, and 1 with the link I want to promote.
So, in total that comes to 15 per day.

 

There should not be more than 4-6 tweets per day..if you publish more tweets people might get frustrated and will unfollow you. SO you need to have a proper balance.

 

For me its average 100+ per day

 

and people dont consider it as spamming...just make sure that you dont tweet 20-30 tweets in 10mins...the 100+ tweets should be spread over a period of time...it helps a lot in getting more followers and you get added to lots of lists and increase your reputation

The main thing is that it depends on whatever your followers are used to. There's no hard and fast rules about the number of followers to have or the number of times to tweet. If your followers are used to you tweeting a lot, then you can tweet a lot. If you decide to change that make sure you let people know. At the end of the day it is all about your followers.

 

2 posts a day...and try to make sue of twitter lists.

 

You can post as many a day if you make sure they are good tweets with interesting links or if you are having a conversation. Don't spam or post junk.
