In simple terms, LSI keywords are words that are closely related to your "main" keyword. An easy way to figure these out is to go on the Google Keyword Tool and type in your main keyword. All the results that come up in the "related keywords" section would be considered your LSI keywords.

I've heard that adding LSI words to your site helps with on-page optimization but I'm not sure if this is accurate. I went through George Brown's Google Sniper and he talks about them and says they help.

Maybe someone else could clarify this further.

Or just use the free Google keyword tool and use the related keywords that are sorted by relevance and save yourself the $67 on that product.

You need to create content containing terms that are "semantic" (meaning the same as or related to) with your target keyword phrase.

Fortunately Google provides us with an easy way to find the terms they consider semantic.

All you have to do is perform a tilde "~" search at Google (i.e. ~Undies) and look at all the Bold terms within the search results. These bold terms are the terms Google considers to be related to your searched term.

Here's a great example for the keyword Undies... Check out all the Bolded results

I used Undies as an example because I just finished putting together an adwords campaign with that keyword, and by using "Semantic" terms within my ad and on my landing page, I was able to get an excellent quality score and secured many 0.01 per click keywords.

    Give it a try

Finally, someone who knows WTH they're talking about LOL... The tilde (~) operator is a little known operator that you can use at Google to find out other words (synonyms) that you can use to help your page rank for your targeted keyword...
