    If I want to block and put "NO FOLLOW" link onto my sitemap page for some of my pages will this hurt my ranking? and will it actually work if i use no follow on my site map page?

    It wont hurt your ranking if you do what you are intending to do. This is called pagerank sculpting.

    Secondly, It doesn't hurt your site if you gives No follow links in your web site pages. There are so many good sites which gives No follow sites, because it is not intentionally.
