I know question should sound what to post, not how much, but still count matters i think.
I never read anyones messages, who posting in bulk. That annoys me (and you probably too). And many still does it.
Just wonder how much tweets a day you think it is ok?

In general, i just expect conversation, not exact answer to tihs question.

    Please share your opinion,
    Thanks :)

P.S. and another thing: how can anyone with more that 10.000 followers be able to read his followers tweets???

Tweet only when you have something important to say that will matter to your audience. If you tweet about britney spears news, don't tweet about anything else.

Well, Around 2 to three is good.
But more than that won't be better. I also don't tweet once in a day sometime.

I would recommend that you stick to your niche, if you are into Twitter for marketing. If you tweet, make it about tips on weight loss, or a cool weight loss website you found. Or, if you are just doing Twitter for a personal account, hoping to get clicks on links, post as much as you want. Post on the bus, on the train, or just post new things you are thinking about.

I'm just tweeting and promoting my websites twice a day :) And you can tweet as long as you can BUT not promoting your link at all. And you may get banned.

Don't tweet back to back. Space your tweets out at least 15 minutes apart.

That's true; if you have quality Tweets, you will have quality Followers. If you don't have quality posts, you'll have no Followers.

Thanks everyone for joining this conversation :)

    lol :)

    Fixed mistake, thanks.

Regarding your answer: Of course, quality is in the first place, but I still do think that quantity matters too.
If i get tweets from someone once a half an hour and if i follow a couple of thousands of such twitters, that would be nightmare.
Even if these all would be interesting, it is too much anyway.

Me too, as probably everyone in this topic, was thinking about few tweets a day is the best. But still many keep of tweeting very often.

My present opinion about twitter: everyone keep on intensively tweeting but nobody reads these tweets :) so much trash there.

Seems it is tough job to choose right people as many simply non stop spamming nonsenses (at least for me it looks nonsenses)
and even worst - aff. links. and doing this very intensively.

4 tweets without, plus 1 tweet with link to my new post. That's all for a day.

It doesn't matter how much you tweet per day if you are tweeting something that might interest other users. Don't just over promote yourself and you will be fine. I sometimes tweet 10-12 tweets per day and someday only 2-3.

I personally think that trying to stick to a certain amount per day is a marketing ploy and as a result you are likely to attract poor quality followers that your message will be wasted on.

When it comes to Twitter you need to be natural and you need to engage your audience naturally. Following thousands of irrelivant people will gain you thousands of irrelivant followers and when you Tweet something important, nobody will be interested.

I use Wefollow to find likeminded people that tweet about similar stuff to me and follow them which leads to generally like-minded people following me and spam me and I remove you. Eventually you will gain an audience because they want to listen to you and when you get to that stage your message will have a far greater effect and the number of Tweets you produce will become irrelivant as you will simply Tweet as, and when you need/want to.

Markdb_sem, agree classified directories is very useful.
But there are still plenty very big members too in wefollow.
And I think any one, who follows more than 10.000 (maybe enough 5.000 or less) do not want to listen.

He just not able to listen all he is following. Let's be honest and face it.

I totally agree, and generally I'd avoid those types of users, however I'm not using Wefollow to find followers, I use it to find the top people in my particular niche, then through contact with those people you'll find you gain a lot of like-minded, quality followers.

E.G recently I commented on a prominent SEO's Tweet and he was good enough to respond to me, as a result of that public contact I received around 30 new follows inside a couple of hours. When I checked them out 1 or 2 were spammy but the others we genuine people with a genuine interest in SEO.
