    Do alot of linkexchanges and do what river said, Submit to blog directories..

    You can also try buying ads on high profile site or adsense

    The first thing to do is to comment on blogs related to your blog. That will get you some visitors, and some links. Don't overdo it though!

    There is so many way to promote your blog, depends on time you spend doing it, specially if you don't want to pay for that! my first advice for you is to post regularly to your blog and feed it with good and useful content, then you can do this:

    - comment on other blogs
    - submit your articles to social network and bookmarks websites
    - write about other blogs and promote them, so they may return the favor!
    - be nice to everyone and reply to your commentators as you can
    - start a contest on your blog

    If you want to drive traffic to your blog, than the best option is to make article as much as you can and than publish it in your blog plus make a spinnable than publish through blog networks or article directory. You can use service such as FTS, AMA,MAN,UAW and many other things.
