How to Evaluate a domain?

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by dantherock, Dec 20, 2009.

Before buying a domain, how can I know what the potential value is? Is the biggest indicator traffic? Is there a general stats that people go buy to determine the value. For example, if the domain is getting 10,000 visitors a month its wroth $500, if the domain is getting 50,000 visitors its worth 5 times more.:)

It depends, what the domain is worth to you and what it is worth to the holder are the 2 main factors. If your buying the business and not just the domain, that will jack the price up significantly.

Yeah cpanel is not true visitor state.
Moreover, be wary of sites that buy bogus traffic so as to improve their stats

The value also depends on how many visitors are type-in, referer or search engine. Typein traffic is more stable and valuable than rest ones.

One year income would be a price but it all depends on many factors.
