    Hi guys,

I'm planning to develop a reviews site, but not sure what niche is good.

What do you think? If you developed a reviews site, what niche would you pick?

    Thank you,

Is there a niche you like or know a lot about? Check out different affiliate networks such as ClickBank and research the different products in your niche. See if the products are worth promoting.

I agree with webdire and Marcus007. Choose a niche that you are familiar with.

Adding to what has already been talked about above me, I'd also say to make sure there is a high demand for the products that you will be promoting. I mean you can create a review site describing which rocks make the best pet rocks and you may be the only site doing so, but if there's no interest in the products related to the site, then forget it.

    Here's some helpful tips:

Make sure there's a buyers market for the products you're going to review. Are there magazines/books dedicated to the topic? Are there a lot of books and magazines dedicated to the topic? If yes to both of these, that's a good sign.

When you type in the main keyword are there a lot of Google ads showing for the keyword? The more ads showing the better.

Are there sufficient quality products you can be an affiliate for? For a review site you're going to want to review at least 3 products. You have to make sure there are good quality products to review and recommend to make your commission.

Can you find some related long tail keyword phrases you can rank within the top 10 for? Let's face it if you rank for a keyword in position #11, pretty much you may as well not rank at all. This is a bit of a over-exaggeration as you can push ranking up. However, it's best if you can get some top 10 rankings for low competition keywords.

Plain simple. Something that you obviously like writing about, have knowledge of it and has a demand (money being spent).

Keep in mind the new FTC rules that started in Dec. 1st 2009 for making sure everything is true in your review.
