Google Indexed My Blog Today -- Why not all pages?

I started a new blog a couple of weeks ago and it finally got indexed today. However, not all of the pages are indexed. What's odd is the home page (which is a static home page) is not indexed and the blog posts aren't indexed. I have a page set up as "Blog" and I'm putting my blog posts under that page. The "Blog" page itself is indexed but the individual posts are not. Is this unusual? Does it mean I've done something wrong?

This is usual. At first they index one of your pages and then, with time they will index the rest of the site. Pages with no content or duplicate content will find it harder to be indexed any way.

If you haven't yet, create an account in Google webmasters tools and send your sitemap there. This will accelerate the process of indexing. You can also send your sitemap to Yahoo and Bing for more exposition.

 

It just takes some time, my homepage of my site was indexed and it took about a week or two for the rest of the pages to get indexed.

 

No you didn't do anything wrong.....Wait for some time....don't expect everything to happen immediately.....!

 

Just ping every page and it will be indexed in a matter of days.
