I, too, get great results with article marketing. You should try getting your visitors to opt-in to a list. You don't want them to be gone forever. You can continue to market to the same people who are in your list. They might not buy today, but they might buy someday.
You didn't mention how long you've been writing for ezinearticles. I submit to them regularly myself. I usually do quite a bit of keyword research and target both low and high competition keywords. Your articles can rank higher in Google if you target more low competition keywords. Have you done any link building to your articles at all? Building links can also help them move up. How about submitting to other article directories? One opinion is that if you spend time building links to certain key articles, you won't need to write as many. Of course you can social bookmark your articles. You can also make free blogger or wordpress blogs and squidoo lenses that point to your articles. All to strengthen the position of an article and to dominate for your chosen keywords. Just some thoughts to consider... I love article marketing myself.
I definitely need to get into article marketing. I am just afraid of spending time writing an article for my topic and then it not getting accepted...
It takes a lot of practice, and then once you perfect it, you will reap in the rewards of getting a lot of targeted traffic
Just had a look at my analytics for the site. Ezine articles accounts for 40% of visitors but 57% of adsense revenue. Howto accounts for 15% of visitors but 26% of adsense revenue. No secret here, quality related traffic and a high CPC make the bulk of the income. Been a bit slow guys unfortunately, had a new arrival to the family so the sleep patterns have made it difficult to concentrate long enough to write a good number of articles. Won't give up yet though. Next post will be an update
Day 5 Stats Articles Pending: 0 Articles Published: 13 Article Views: 328 URL Clicks: 6 Articles Re-Published: 0 Number of clicks is a little dissapointing at this stage. I think perhaps I am providing too much infomation in my articles.
Don't let being afraid hold you back - what's the worst that can happen? If you write an article that doesn't break the directory's rules, it is guaranteed to be accepted. So what if EZA declines your article? - there are a thousand others.
