    I use FreeHostia, they provide you with Wordpress - but the MYSQL DB is only 10 MBs large so if you have a lot of people that comment - switch host.

    I think Wordpress.com is a great way to start, although you are not supposed to promote yourself and cannot monetize your blog .

    Of course, Wordpress.org with the many themes and plugins is the overall best way whether it be for a traditional site or a blog. I think stevestuff would agree, don't you?

    I think having a free host is good - in the beginning. I had a free host for about two years - and when I became big - I started paying. Stay with the free host. When you're still a "small kid" on the Internet - don't play with money.
