I'm also a huge fan of Woothemes, ElegantThemes and Premiumthemes.net (I think they changed their name). All three of those designers are top notch and very good with updates & support. Press75 is good for video displaying wordpress sites. Here's a big list of premium wordpress themes that include a few of those.

I always preview the demos to see what is on the back end. Many premium themes look great on the front end and are a pain to use.

Thesis is very powerful on the backend, but you'll need to know a bit of CSS to fully leverage it. But I've seen few Thesis sites that look that great on the front end.

Woo Themes seems to do a good job of both. Elegant Themes are nice.

here are the themes I like and use for most of my projects: http://themes.internetmarketingiq.com and yes this is my own list. And some are free but most are premium.

Yes, I agree that woothemes has a great design and support. However, I use elegant themes for my sites.

I will just look at the design and never care about the backend features, because I always used to edit the themes to my needs.
